Pozzomaggiore is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2520 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sassari in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 37 kilometers south-southeast of Sassari and borders directly on the provinces of Nuoro and Oristano .

history

Numerous remnants of the nuragic culture can still be found in the municipality. A bridge ( Ponte Oinu ) from Roman antiquity has also been preserved.
