Illorai is an Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Sassari in Sardinia with 798 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). The municipality is located about 60 kilometers southeast of Sassari and borders directly on the province of Nuoro .

The Strada Statale 128bis Centrale Sarda from Tirso to Bonnanaro runs through the municipality, which crosses here with the Strada Statale 129 Trasversale Sarda from Orosei to Macomer . The Illorai station was closed in 1969 with the Tirso – Chilivani railway line .
