Torralba ( Sardinian : Turràlva ) is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 938 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sassari in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 30.5 kilometers southeast of Sassari .

history

One of the most important nuraghi , the Santu Antine , the dolmen Su Crastu Covaccadu and the church of Nostra Signora di Cabu Abbas can be found in the municipality. The present day community can be traced back to its first mention in 1064/65.

Strada Statale 131 Carlo Felice leads through the municipality from Cagliari to Porto Torres . The municipality's train station is on the Cagliari – Golfo Aranci Marittima railway line , but is no longer served by passenger trains.
