geography

Budoni has numerous districts in the surrounding hills : Agrustos, Berruiles, Birgalavò, Limpiddu, Li Troni, Ludduì, Lu Linnalvu, Luttuni, Lutturai, Maiorca, Malamurì, Muriscuvò, Nuditta, Ottiolu, San Gavino, San Lorenzo, San Pietro, San Silvestro , S'Iscala, Solità , Strugas, Tamarispa and Tanaunella.

However, some of the districts mostly consist of holiday homes .

economy

There is no industry in Budoni itself . In the so-called "zona industriale", which has been set up outside the town since 2000, there are predominantly smaller craft and construction companies that benefit from the considerable construction activity. Budoni lives mainly from holiday home tourism. In the German-speaking countries, Budoni has become known through smaller holiday home agencies that arrange private holiday homes for locals on Budoni Beach. In the district of Porto Ottiolu there is a large marina with many restaurants and small shops.

traffic

Budoni can be reached from Olbia via the four-lane SS 131 highway , which connects Olbia with Nuoro and Cagliari . There are two exits to Budoni: Budoni-Nord and Budoni-Sud. More scenic, but slower, is the drive on the state road SS 125 , which also leads from Olbia to Cagliari, but runs along the east coast. (Hence the name Orientale Sarda ).
