Peter Sikemsen (* 1969 ) is a Greenlandic weightlifter and former handball player .

career

Sikemsen started playing handball with the Greenland club K1933. Sikemsen then played abroad, where he played for the Danish clubs Fredericia HK and Odense Håndbold, among others. Furthermore, Sikemsen played 64 international matches for the Greenland national team , in which he scored 235 goals. With Greenland he took part in the handball world championship twice.

After his career as a handball player, Sikemsen became a weightlifter. In 2012 he won the Danish three-way championship in the weight class up to 105 kg in the age group 40 to 49 years. A year later he won this title again. In 2015 he won the silver medal at the Danish championship in a duel.

Sikemsen has been a handball youth coach at IF Stjernen Odense since 2013.
