Peter Stockinger (semiotic)

Peter Stockinger (* 1956 in Lambach / Upper Austria) is an Austrian semiotic .

biography

Since 1990 he has been professor of cognitive semantics, cultural semiotics , discourse semiotics as well as semiotics and new media at the Institut national des langues et civilizations orientales ( INALCO ) in Paris and has been part of the research team on cognitive semiotics and new media (Équipe Sémiotique Cognitive et Nouveaux Médias - ESCoM ) since 1991 ) at the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l'Homme (FMSH) in Paris.

In 1985 Stockinger was awarded the bronze medal of the Center national de la recherche scientifique ( CNRS ) for his work in the field of communication science and semiotics .
