The library Petko Slaveykow ( Bulgarian Регионална народна библиотека "Петко Р. Славейков" - "Велико Търново" Regionalna biblioteka Petko Slaveykov ) is a regional Bulgarian Library in Veliko Tarnovo . It bears the names of two European cartridges , the Petko Slawejkow .
The Petko Slaveykow Library was founded on August 15, 1922 and three years later it received the status of the third book archive in Bulgaria , after the National Library in Sofia and the National Library in Plovdiv.
history
In Veliko Tarnovo there was an old Bulgarian library. It consisted of manuscripts and books, royal letters and treaties, life and psaltery from the time of the Second Bulgarian Empire . The library was housed in the Patriarchal Church of St. Peter and Paul during the Ottoman rule. Greek bishop who destroyed the library in 1872.
