Petri Kekki

Petri Kekki (born May 4, 1966 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish chess player .

Life

He started playing chess at the age of three and joined a chess club at the age of six. He studied computer science at the Helsinki Polytechnic University (HELIA).

successes

In 2001 he won the Finnish rapid chess championship. He plays team chess for Matinkylän SK from Espoo , with whom he took part in the European Club Cup eight times between 1986 and 2014 .

Since March 2008 he has held the title of International Master . He achieved the standards for this at the international chess tournament in Espoo in August 1995 and at the Finnish team championship in the seasons 2006/07 (with overachievement) and 2007/08. Its Elo rating is 2294 (as of December 2019), its highest to date was 2411 in April 2008.
