Peter's liturgy

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Petrus Liturgy is the name of a Greek translation of the Roman mass , which was adapted to the Byzantine rite for use in worship .

It apparently originated in the 10th century in Longobardia minor , where many Greek monks had settled. A Georgian and a Slavic translation from Greek are also known.

The first printing of the Petrus Liturgy (Antwerp 1589) was done by Ghent Bishop Wilhelm Damasus van der Linden (1525–1588).
