The Eggstock , consisting of Hinter Eggstock ( 2455  m above sea level ), Mittler Eggstock ( 2420  m above sea level ), Vorder Eggstock ( 2449  m above sea level ) and Leitergg ( 2310  m above sea level ), are one Summit group in the Glarus Alps in Switzerland . Located in the north of the holiday resort of Braunwald , a three-part via ferrata leads over all four peaks ( see Braunwald via ferrata ).

The highest peak of the Eggstock is at 2455  m above sea level. M. the Hinter Eggstock.

Routes to the summit

The Hinter Eggstock can be reached via a high alpine (blue and white marked) mountain path from Gumen (Braunwald) via Bützi and Ober Boden. The other three peaks, but also the Hinter Eggstock, are relatively easy to climb using the via ferrata.

In addition, there are various climbing routes of varying degrees of difficulty in the south walls of the Eggstock . There is also a climbing garden below the Leitergg .
