history

The wagon register of the network of the Royal Bavarian State Railways (former Palatinate Railways ) on the left bank of the Rhine with the status from March 31, 1913 including the updates up to March 1916 leads under sheet no. 169 Detailed information on the private tank wagons from various manufacturers. Worth doing - see also sheet no. 170 - different constructions combined. This does not necessarily mean that the respective cars were actually identical. Constructive changes alone required the load.

Constructive features

Underframe

The frame: consisted entirely of riveted rolled sections. The outer side rails were U-shaped with outward-facing flanges. As a towing device, the wagons had screw couplings with safety hooks according to VDEV, the drawbar was spring-loaded throughout. The wagons had double-slotted basket buffers with an installation length of 650 mm. The buffer plates had a diameter of 370 mm. These were later partly replaced by case buffers.

drive

The wagons had riveted half-timbered axle brackets made of flat iron of different designs. The axles were stored in split sliding axle bearings. The wheels had spoked wheel bodies and a wheel diameter of 1014 mm. The suspension was attached to the spring brackets with simple straps.

The braked wagons were equipped with a manual spindle brake. The brakes acted on all wheels on both sides.
