The parish staff of Christ the King ( Latin Congregatio Cooperatorum Paroesialium Christi Regis , religious symbol CPCR ) is an international congregation of pontifical right . It consists of clerics and friars .

The founder of this religious community was the Catalan Jesuit priest Francisco de Paula Vallet y Arnau (1883-1947). In 1923 he gathered like-minded people around him. They lived and prayed according to the rules of St. Ignatius of Loyola and intended to intensify the spiritual exercises in the parishes. On May 3, 1928, Father Vallet founded the first church. The congregation received papal recognition on June 23, 1979 from Pope John Paul II. The Congregation's primary task is to promote the evangelization of adults.

In 2005 the order had 71 members, 30 of whom are priests . They are spread over eight houses and have delegations in Africa , Argentina , Chile , France , Spain , Switzerland and Uruguay . The General House with the Superior General Hernán Jorge Pereda is located near Madrid .
