Rectory in Oberkirchen

The rectory in Oberkirchen , a village in the town of Schmallenberg in the Hochsauerland district , was built in 1711. The half-timbered building at Alte Poststraße 5 is the oldest residential building in the town. The property was entered in the Schmallenberg town's list of monuments.

The house was damaged in 1682 and rebuilt in 1711. The lower storey of the two-storey half-timbered building consists of massive white walls. The roof and the left side of the house on the upper floor are clad with natural slate. The other sides of the house consist of typical half-timbering.
