The parish church of Au am Leithaberge is in the north of the Angers of the market town of Au am Leithaberge in the Bruck an der Leitha district in Lower Austria . The patronage of St. The Roman Catholic parish church subordinated to Nikolaus von Myra belongs to the deanery Weigelsdorf in the vicariate Unter dem Wienerwald of the Archdiocese of Vienna . history

A parish was mentioned in the 14th century and until 1785 belonged to the diocese of Raab and the rule of Scharfeneck. The present-day church was built in 1876/1877 with the master builder Anton Mittermann according to the plans of the architect Ludwig Wächtler while the previous medieval building was partially preserved . In 1992 an interior restoration took place.

The north-facing church is partly surrounded by a medieval, baroque raised former churchyard wall. The hall church in neo-Romanesque and neo-Gothic forms has a retracted choir with a five-eighth closure .

Furnishing

The organ was built by Orgelbau Cäcilia (1923) with a neo-Gothic case.
