history

The nave was raised in baroque style around 1700. In 1747 the west tower was rebuilt on a Gothic core and raised in 1835. The sacristy was added in 1811. In 1896 there was a renovation. 1962, 1974 were restorations.

architecture

Church exterior

The church, which is Gothic in essence and has a west tower, has been converted to Baroque style. The west tower with a fused structure has round-arched sound windows and an onion helmet. The simple three-bay nave with renewed buttresses is joined by a recessed square choir bay and an even more recessed square choir end with two pointed arched windows and a bricked-up lancet window with a fragmented three-pass connection in the choir end from the 14th century. The nave was raised in baroque style with arched windows and the buttresses continued in 1700. On the south side of the choir is the chapel extension St. Maria from 1453 with buttresses and later rounded windows. On the north side of the choir there is a trapezoidal extension from the 19th century. The two-bay sacristy annex stands south of the choir and east of the Marienkapelle.

Church interior

The three-bay hall under a groin vault from 1704 shows mighty pilasters. The organ loft in the Westjoch was built around 1700 over a pressed butt cap barrel. The strongly drawn-in round-arched triumphal arch shows a Gothic bevel and has a late Baroque field. The retracted choir yoke and the retracted chancel yoke have ribbed vaults with keystones from the 14th and 15th centuries. In the choir flanks are chamfered pointed arch openings. The retracted and chamfered choir arch was changed to a baroque round arch.

Furnishing

The high altar around 1760 is a marbled, slightly swinging retable with entablature on volute consoles. The high altar shows a crucifix under a canopy and carries the side figures Matthias and John the Baptist. The cafeteria and tabernacle are from the 19th century. The former side altarpiece of St. Florian painted Leopold Schulz (1859).

The organ was built by Johann Georg Fischer (1831) and features a baroque-style staggered prospect and a classical parapet positive . Georg Arnold (1625) cast a bell.
