Deanery Stockerau
The deanery comprises 19 parishes in the Weinviertel in northern Lower Austria .
- Diocesan development process
On November 29, 2015, development areas were defined for all parishes in the Archdiocese of Vienna. The parishes should work more closely together in the development areas, form parish associations or pastoral care rooms. At the end of the process, new parishes should emerge from the development areas. Together with the parishes that were added on September 1, 2016, the Stockerau deanery comprises two development rooms with two sub-units:
- Großmugl, Haselbach, Hausleiten, Herzogbirbaum, Höbersdorf, Leitzersdorf, Niederhollabrunn, Oberhautzental, Obermallebarn, Senning, Sierndorf and Stockerau
- Subunit 1: Haselbach, Hausleiten, Leitzersdorf, Niederhollabrunn and Stockerau
- Subunit 2: Großmugl, Herzogbirbaum, Höbersdorf, Oberhautzental, Obermallebarn, Senning and Sierndorf
- Ernstbrunn, Maisbirbaum, Merkersdorf, Niederleis, Oberleis, Pyhra and Simonsfeld
The Ernstbrunn deanery was dissolved on September 1, 2016 and the parishes of Ernstbrunn, Maisbirbaum, Merkersdorf, Niederleis, Oberleis, Pyhra and Simonsfeld became part of the Stockerau deanery.
