The Korneuburg deanery is a deanery in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna . It comprises 14 parishes and a branch in the Weinviertel in northern Lower Austria with around 23,690 Catholics.

Diocesan development process

On November 29, 2015, development areas were defined for all parishes in the Archdiocese of Vienna. The parishes should work more closely together in the development areas, form parish associations or pastoral care rooms. At the end of the process, new parishes should emerge from the development areas. The following development areas have been defined in the Korneuburg Dean's Office:

  • Korneuburg
  • Großrußbach, Harmannsdorf, Karnabrunn, Obergänserndorf, Stetten and Würnitz
  • Bisamberg, Langenzersdorf-St. Katharina and Langenzersdorf-Dirnelwiese
  • Enzersfeld and Klein-Engersdorf
  • Kleinwilfersdorf, Leobendorf and Spillern
