The Roman Catholic branch church Lachsfeld is located in the village of Lachsfeld in the municipality of Ernstbrunn in the Korneuburg district in Lower Austria . It is consecrated to the feast of Mary's name and belongs to the parish Karnabrunn in the dean's office Korneuburg in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the archdiocese of Vienna .
history
A baroque chapel stood in the village of Lachsfeld until 1959 . Since it could no longer hold mass visitors at the end of the 1950s and there was a need for renovation, it was decided to build a new church. The current church was built in 1960 and 1961 according to plans by the architect Erwin Plevan . The new church was consecrated in 1961 by Archbishop-Coadjutor Franz Jachym .
