Herrnleis parish church
The Herrnleis parish church is located in Herrnleis in the market town of Ladendorf in Lower Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Nikolaus belongs to the dean's office Wolkersdorf in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Archdiocese of Vienna . Until September 1, 2016 she was part of the Ernstbrunn Dean's Office . The church is a listed building .

The church is located at the southern end of a largely dilapidated cellar lane and can also be reached via a staircase with 48 steps, which leads from the valley of the Herrnleiser Bach to the main portal of the church.

The church is enclosed by the local cemetery. The chancel with medieval masonry with a Gothic church tower in the west was expanded to the east in the years 1774 to 1776 with a late baroque three-bay nave. The main portal with gable and coat of arms shows the year 1776.
The high altar picture from 1776 shows St. Nikolaus von Myra , the side altar painting from 1777 St. Johannes Nepomuk . Both were created by Martin Johann Schmidt . The organ from 1911 was built by the Viennese company Johann M. Kauffmann .
