history

The Knappenkirche served the miners who once operated iron mining here. The church was mentioned in a document in 1482. In 1803 the sacristy was added. In 1898/1899 the church received a new roof.

architecture

The late Gothic church building with a three-eighth closure has a north tower with a pointed gable helmet. The west portal is a late Gothic shoulder arch portal.

The interior of the church is a two-bay, slightly irregular nave with groin vaults from the late 16th century, the low triumphal arch is ogival, the choir just closes with a simulated three-eighths closure and has a ribbed vault over round services and ogive windows. In the west the church has a wooden organ gallery.

Furnishing

The church has a remarkable baroque interior. The high altar around 1620 as a columned aedicula with a blown triangular gable shows the image of St. Andreas and carries late baroque carved figurines Guardian Angels, Michael, Anna and Barbara on the side.

The inscription 1676 Hanss Hoitzfeindt calls the choir stalls Zechbropst at that time.

The left side altar with 1705 shows the picture St. Antonius and in the essay picture Hl. Dreifaltigkeit, the right side altar with 1737 and taken in 1744 shows a popular painting Maria Scherzen. The pulpit around 1725/1730 shows half-figure depictions of painted evangelist images in medallions in the parapets.

The popular way of the cross is from the 18th century.

Martin Pucher calls the bell 1802.
