The Roman Catholic parish church Rohrbach an der Lafnitz stands on a slope in Rohrbach an der Lafnitz in the municipality Rohrbach an der Lafnitz in Styria . The parish church of St. Josef der Arbeiter belongs to the Hartberg deanery in the Graz-Seckau diocese . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).

history

The church was built from 1959 to 1961 according to the plans of the architect and monument conservator Eberhardt Jäger (1921-2009) and in 1966 it was elevated to a parish church.

Longhouse to the chancel

The large room with a wooden ceiling has colored glazing on the long sides between the concrete struts. In the retracted chancel between the two east towers, the three-part colored concrete glass window Josef with the baby Jesus, the birth of Jesus and the flight to Egypt by the artist Margret Bilger is installed as a full-surface mural . There is a parish hall in the basement of the church.
