pftp is a console-based FTP client for Linux .

description

pftp supports client-to-server transfers ( FTP ) and server-to-server transfers (file transfer between two FTP servers, FXP ). pftp is only operated with the keyboard and can also be started from a Windows computer on a root server / shell using PuTTY via SSH session. Despite the identical name, pftp has nothing to do with the FTP server of the same name . There are other versions of pftp with modified functions .

use

The pftp program is usually started with a command line command, often with specification of a UDP port as an argument:

./pftp or ./pftp –udp = 12345

After entering the mandatory password to decrypt the favorites, the user interface can be seen. With Q (for "Quit") pftp is ended.
