The pgam advanced technologies AG was an automotive supplier . The company specialized in the development of vehicle components before the start of series production. The company name (company) goes back to the original designation "Planungsgesellschaft für Automobil- und Maschinenbau", which is no longer used. On the basis of an intranet and internet supported simultaneous process and data management, Pgam has developed a business model with which the business processes: concept, development, prototyping, project and quality management up to the start of production can be integrated.

Company history

The company was founded in 1979 by Karl Kirchmaier and Josef A. Marold. From September 20, 2004, the pgam share was listed on the SDAX. In April 2005, the company filed for bankruptcy . The reasons for this were the ongoing crisis in the automotive industry and a withdrawn order to build 1,200 armored sedans for the US market. pgam was taken over in September 2005 by the Farmingtons Group, also founded by Josef Marold, based in Georgsmarienhütte . After the death of the company founder Josef Marold, the Farmingtons Group was taken over by Nina Welp in 2009 and renamed the WELP GROUP in 2014 . To WELP GROUP include Farmington Automotive , with offices in Georgsmarienhütte and Wolfsburg, pgam (Warwick) , IndiKar (Wilkau-Haßlau and Neckarsulm) and ARFA Automotive Ltd . in Lagos (Nigeria).

The focus of the WELP GROUP is the development and production of specially protected vehicles (WELP Armouring ) as well as ready-to-install special protection kits for exclusive special series from German vehicle manufacturers.
