Philip J. Class
Philip Julian Klass (born November 8, 1919 in Des Moines , † August 9, 2005 in Merritt Island ) was an American electrical engineer and journalist. He was one of the most famous UFO - Skeptics of the US and co-founder of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry , then the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal .
The person Klass and his publications in the field of UFO research generated very different responses. They ranged from " Sherlock Holmes of Ufology" to "an obsessive weirdo who contributed little to the UFO debate other than noise, strange rhetoric, pseudoscientific speculation and character assassination" ( Jerome Clark ).
