Philip Richardson (Bishop)

Philip Richardson (* 1958 in Devonport ) is a New Zealand , Anglican Archbishop of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia .

Life

Richardson studied Anglican theology at Rangitoto College , the Tamil Nadu Theological Seminary in South India, and St John's College in Auckland . In 1982 he was ordained an Anglican priest. Since 2008 he has been Bishop of the Diocese of Waikato and Taranaki. Since 2013 he has succeeded David Moxon as Archbishop of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.
