Philip Schuessler
Philip Schuessler (born September 17, 1976 in Birmingham , Alabama ) is an American composer .
Live and act
Schuessler studied composition at Birmingham-Southern College (1997–1999), the University of Miami (until 2001) and the State University of New York (until 2008). His teachers were Charles Mason , Dorothy Hindman , Dennis Kam , Keith Kothman , Dan Weymouth , Sheila Silver and Daria Semegen .
His compositions were u. a. performed at the June Festival in Buffalo , the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga New Music Symposium , the Birmingham City Stages Festival , the Festival Miami , the Artomatic Festival in Arlington, Virginia, the New Music Forum in San Francisco, and the Spark Festival in Minneapolis Played with musicians and ensembles such as the Goliard Ensemble , the Dither Guitar Quartet , the Mantra Percussion Ensemble , the violinist Graeme Jennings , the TimeTable Percussion Trio , the percussionist Daniel Kennedy , the soprano Tony Arnold and the cellist Craig Hultgren .
