Philip I (Macedonia)
Philip I ( Greek Φίλιππος Α ' ) was the son of Argaios and became king of Macedonia after him . He ruled from around 621 to 588 BC. BC (according to older data from 640 to 602).
Contrary to the statement of Junianus Justinus, who reports that Philip died very early, the ancient lists of kings attest to a reign of between 26 and 39 years. His successor was his son Aeropos .
