Philippa Kowarsky

Philippa Kowarsky is a film producer who, together with director Dror Moreh and producer Estelle Fialon, was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Documentary at the 2013 Academy Awards for her production of the documentary Töte . Kowarsky studied communication politics at City University London and began working in film in 1993. In 1997 she founded the Israeli sales and production company Cinephil , which distributes, among other things, Amos Gitai's documentaries .

In 2018 she was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
