Trembling Before Gd ( Engl. : Trembling Before Gd ) is an American documentary about Orthodox Jewish gay men and women who are trying to bring their homosexuality with their religion into harmony. The film, directed by Sandi Simcha DuBowski in the United States in 2001 , received several awards and prizes.

The film follows the lives of various homosexual Orthodox Jews . In interviews, Orthodox rabbis and Jewish psychotherapists are asked about the relationship between Orthodox Judaism and the subject of homosexuality . Some of the interviewees wanted to remain anonymous in the film. Mostly Orthodox homosexual Jews from the United States are shown. The film received various nominations and seven international film awards.
