Philippe Flucklinger (born May 24, 1963 in Metz , France ) is a former French football goalkeeper. Most recently he played at HSC Montpellier .

Career

In his youth, Flucklinger played in Montigny-lès-Metz , where he also started men's football at the age of 17.

Flucklinger was active from 1982 at SO Merlebach , with whom he played, among other things, in the third division . In 1986 he went to the then second division team Racing Strasbourg . After he only made 15 missions in his first season in the Alsatian capital, he made the breakthrough in the 1987/88 season and came to 32 missions. In his last season it was 31.

After stints at SC Abbeville and HSC Montpellier , Flucklinger went back to his hometown and signed on with FC Metz . In his first two years he was a regular goalkeeper and made 37 appearances each time. In 1993/94 he was only used once. In 1994 he therefore moved back to HSC Montpellier. There he ended his career as a substitute goalkeeper in the professional and amateur team. From 2000 he worked for the National Association of Professional Footballers (French: Union nationale des footballeurs professionnels, UNFP), where the areas of central and southern France were allocated to him and he is still active today.
