General Philippe Mangou (born January 26, 1952 ) is an Ivorian military. Since 2004 he was the Chief of Staff of the then Ivorian Armed Forces (FDS) under Laurent Gbagbo .

On the night of March 14-15 , 2011, his residence in Yopougon was attacked by heavily armed units of the Forces Nouvelles de Côte d'Ivoire in the wake of the 2010/2011 government crisis . On the evening of March 30th, he and his family fled to the South African embassy in Abidjan .
