Philippe tavern

Philippe Taverne (* 1952 ) is a Belgian EU official. From 2012 to 2016 he was Director General of the Internal Audit Service of the European Commission.

Philippe Taverne completed a master's degree at the Université libre de Bruxelles by 1976 . He then initially worked in auditing and financial controlling. He joined the European Commission in 1983, where he held various positions. In 2000, he became Director of Personnel Policy in the Directorate General for Personnel and Administration . In 2002, he moved to the Budget Directorate-General , where he was Deputy Secretary General from 2009. In March 2012 he took over the management of the internal audit service.
