Philippe d'Huy (* around 1956 ; † June 19, 2014 ) was a French- Guadeloupian gwoka and jazz guitarist .

D'Huy studied in Paris at the American School of Music ; his first album was released in 1978 ( Constations et Contradictions ) and received the Prix ​​International de la Jeune Chanson. After his return to Guadeloupe in 1994 he founded the Caraïbe Jazz Ensemble ; with his brother Raymond he appeared as Huy & Co. (Album d'Huy Brothers and Zapping , with Henri Debs). In 1995 he accompanied the singer César Durcin; In 2007 he worked on Raymond d'Huy's album MesTissages .

D'Huy died of a heart attack at the age of 58 .
