The Philippine Badminton Association (PBA) is the top national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in the Philippines . The association was founded in 1952 .

history

In the 1920s, English and American immigrants introduced the game to the Philippines. In 1947 the Manila Bay Association of Badminton Clubs was formed . The first national title fights were held in 1949, and in 1950 the Philippines became the 21st member of the Badminton World Federation through the Philippine Amateur Athletic Federation . In 1962 the national umbrella organization PBA was founded by 28 clubs. The association belongs to the Badminton Asia Confederation and the National Olympic Committee.
