PhpStorm is an integrated development environment (IDE) from JetBrains for the PHP programming language and competes with Zend Studio . Features include refactoring , intelligent code and syntax highlighting , PHPUnit support, tools for version control and a wide range of options for the automatic creation of code. PhpStorm is based on the IntelliJ IDEA from JetBrains, but is the version that is specialized in PHP. It also offers all the functions of the WebStorm IDE , which is also from JetBrains.
The range of functions can be expanded using plug-ins , some of which are developed by JetBrains and some by the community .
The functions include fast start-up behavior, fast auto-completion, intelligent syntax highlighting, VCS integration, automatic deployment and code optimization functions.
Innovations
Version 2019.01 In this version there are improvements in the area of debugging for Twig / Blade files, new detection mechanisms for unused program code, improved autocompletion and the new themes that were introduced in many IDEs of the IntellIJ family with version 2019.01.
