WebStorm is an integrated development environment (IDE) from JetBrains for the JavaScript programming language . In addition, WebStorm supports HTML5 , Node.js , Bootstrap , Angular / AngularJS , TypeScript , PhoneGap / Cordova , Dart and many other technologies, and is therefore mainly used for the development of web-based mobile apps . WebStorm is based on the IntelliJ IDEA from JetBrains, but is the JavaScript-specialized version.

The range of functions can be expanded using plug-ins , some of which are developed by JetBrains and some by the community.

WebStorm contains tools for refactoring , versioning, code and syntax highlighting , for unit tests and for partially automated code generation.
