Phra Vo was a follower of Siri Bunyasena and helped him to the throne of Vientiane in 1767, as he hoped to be installed as viceroy. After this was not fulfilled, he left Vientiane and went to Nong Bua Lamphu , where he established himself as the leader of an independent community that he called Nakhon Khuankhan Karb Kei Bua Ban .

In 1778 Phra Vo fell in the battle against Bunsan at Don Mot Daeng. He left a son, Thao Tirthikama (Tit Kham), who himself was appointed Maha Uparat (viceroy) in 1791 and was deputy governor of Ubon Ratchathani between 1795 and 1814 before being appointed governor of Khemmarat in 1814 .
