Phulwara butter
Phulwarabutter or Fulwabutter , Fulwatalg , Gheebutter , also Chiuri or Nepalbutter , is a vegetable fat which is obtained from the seeds of the Indian butter tree ( Diploknema butyracea ). It is a semi-solid, greasy and white, almost odorless fat with a pleasant odor. It has a high melting range, similar to that of cocum butter , and it almost never goes rancid .
The fat is used in cosmetics, as a substitute for cocoa butter , as cocoa butter equivalent , in chocolate production and as edible fat . It can also be used in candle and soap making, as well as in medical applications. The press cakes are edible.
Most of the triglycerides in fat contain palmitic and oleic acid, and small amounts of stearic and linoleic acid .
The illipe butter is similar .
