Pi orh

Pi orh (in Thai ปี่ อ้อ ) is a double reed instrument with a conical wooden tube in Thailand and Cambodia .

The pi orh consists of two parts: the reed and the sound body. The reed is made of pressed bamboo , which is formed into a double reed and clamped together with small bamboo sticks. The reed is placed in one end of the sound box.

The pi orh is used as a solo instrument or in an ensemble as an entertainment instrument , in magical rituals or as music therapy.
