The Piazza Croce dei Vespri is a square in Palermo . It is located in the historic Kalsa district.

The name of the square is derived from a massacre that took place on this square during the Sicilian Vespers . A memorial column, erected in 1737 and bearing a cross, commemorates the murdered French, but today there is only a copy of this column on the square.

The baroque Palazzo Gangi-Valguarnera and the Galleria d'Arte Moderna are located on the square .
