The Pico Destacamento is a mountain on Half Moon Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises on the Punta Curva .
Argentine scientists named it after the common name in Argentina for a research station, as the Argentine Teniente-Cámara station was in the immediate vicinity.
