Piedras de Afilar is a town in Uruguay .
geography
Piedras de Afilar is located in the Canelones department in sector 8 . The place is a few kilometers north of the coast of the Río de la Plata and the local coastal towns of Santa Lucía del Este and Biarritz . To the north is Capilla de Cella . A few kilometers west-northwest is the Cerro Piedras de Afilar .
Infrastructure
Piedras de Afilar is on the Montevideo - Punta del Este railway line. Ruta 70 runs not far to the east of the village .
