The Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation was founded on May 10, 1990 in Zurich and supports dancers and musicians on their way to the stage. It is dedicated to Daniela Ambrosoli's father, Pierino Ambrosoli , and her mother, Sonja Bragowa , a former dancer in the 1920s. The foundation does not go back to the will of Pierino Ambrosoli. It was created at the request of Daniela Ambrosoli, who decided to use a considerable part of her fortune inherited from her father.

purpose

The foundation supports very young talented dancers and musicians on their way to the stage through scholarships at recognized training centers around the world. Ballet school graduates can acquire a scholarship for one year at theaters and dance companies. The foundation works with other organizations, schools and theaters. If required, the foundation also offers specialist information and advice. The foundation's work is characterized by personal support and regular contact with the foundation's scholarship holders. The foundation is a member of the International Organization for the Transition of Professional Dancers .

organization

The foundation is a non-profit private foundation. Today it consists of a board of trustees, the founder and president, and an advisory board each for the areas of music and dance. Ruth Suter was General Secretary from the establishment of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation in 1990 until December 1996. Michael Jürgens has been working for the foundation as general manager and specialist advisor for dance since 1998.
