Pierre Girard (sailor)
Pierre Girard (born August 2, 1926 in Geneva ) is a Swiss sailor .
Career
Girard, together with Henri Copponex and Manfred Metzger, won the bronze medal at the 1960 Olympic Games with the 5.5 m IR (International Rule) Ballerina IV .
Association of Archives Henri Copponex
Girard is a member of the Committee of the Association of Archives Henri Copponex . This was founded in 2006. It is managed by Françoise Copponex , the daughter of Henri Copponex. The association strives to preserve Henri Copponex's legacy and organizes events to preserve his memory. In order to make his work accessible, the association has started a project to digitize all existing plans (approx. 700).
