The Pierre de Becquerel (also La Pierre Druidique - German  " Druid stones " called) are a stone formation in the woods east of Périgny in the Calvados department in Normandy in France , which are considered to be dolmen.

Pierre de Becquerel

The rock formation stands on the crest of a steep slope overlooking a tributary of the Druance. The huge rocks seem to have been cut at right angles and joined together by abnormal forces. Overhanging rocks seem to defy the statics. A corridor lies between two large blocks, which may have served as supports for a large flat stone and formed a pseudodolmen . It is said that the dolmen's capstone rolled into the ravine, where it rests on the edge of the creek.

At the foot of the Druidenstein are two large, old yew trees , which give the place a mysterious atmosphere.

About 14 km to the northwest, near Jurques, is La Pierre Dialan , also known as the dolmen, another pseudo-dolmen.

Individual evidence
