The Pierre du Diable ( German  "Teufelsstein" ) from Haillot , a district of Ohey in Wallonia in Belgium is a menhir from the 3rd millennium BC that was excavated and erected in 2007 by Christian Frébutte . Chr.

According to the archaeologist, the menhir was buried at an unspecified point in time and, as the plow marks show, it was in this position for some time. During the 19th century it was buried deeper and its lower half was in the water. The excavators have determined the exact location. A fragment of polished volcanic rock found there, typical of the 3rd millennium BC. BC, testifies to activities in the Stone Age.

Like many menhirs in the region, it has the typical trapezoidal shape ( French Pierre de Zeupire ), even if the point is missing. The material is pudding stone .

Outcrops or dolmens with the name Pierre du Diable are / were in Anhée ( outcrop ) and Velaine sur Meuse near Lambes (dolmen) in the province of Namur in Belgium .
