Pieta window in Paris

The Pietà window in the chapel of the Hôpital Laënnec , a former hospital at 42 rue de Sèvres in Paris , was created in the 17th century.

The 4.50 meter high and 2.20 meter wide window comes from an unknown workshop. It depicts Mary as Mater Dolorosa (Mother of Sorrows) with the body of Jesus Christ removed from the cross , the so-called Pietà . The edge of the window has a border made of candelabra and flowers.
