The Pietenpol Air Camper is a simple self-made aircraft designed by Bernard H. Pietenpol in 1928.

The first Air Camper was built and flown by himself. The aim of Pietenpol was to design an aircraft that could easily be assembled by yourself and that was very inexpensive. The Air Camper is mainly made of spruce and plywood and was originally equipped with a 40 hp converted Ford Model A car engine. One is in the EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin .
