Pingus

Pingus is a free clone of the computer game Lemmings developed by Ingo Ruhnke and licensed under the GNU General Public License .

history

Pingus was released as a game for Linux in 1998 . The earlier versions were based on the ClanLib library, in version 0.7.0 (August 2007) the change was made to SDL . From version 0.7.2 the game is also available for Windows . Version 0.7.6 was also ported to Mac OS X.

Gameplay

The aim of Pingus is to lead a group of small penguins from the starting point of the level to the exit in a prescribed time. It is important to lead as many penguins as possible past obstacles, chasms and traps so that a specified number reaches the exit. For this purpose, the player has a certain number of skills available that he can give the penguins with a click of the mouse.
