Pintadito is a city in northwestern Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the north-eastern part of the Artigas department three kilometers south of the department capital Artigas . To the northwest is Cerro Ejido , while the Arroyo Pintadito runs a short distance east .
Residents
The city had 1,642 inhabitants at the census in 2004, of which 843 men and 799 women (as of 2011). In 1996, 1,067 inhabitants were still registered. This enabled Pintadito to record a population growth of over 50 percent within a few years.
